Estimates for everyday food logging

PlateWise estimates meal components and calorie ranges from a photo and an optional note you choose to submit. You check the components and portions before saving a meal. Photos cannot reveal every ingredient, cooking method, or serving size. AI results and food comparisons can be incomplete or wrong.

PlateWise is for adults aged 18 and over. It provides general information, not medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment, an allergy safety check, or a clinical nutrition plan. Do not rely on it to manage diabetes, an eating disorder, allergies, pregnancy, or another medical condition. Ask a qualified professional about your individual needs.

Your photos and notes

Submit only content you own or have permission to use. Do not include unnecessary personal information about yourself or anyone else. You retain your rights in your content and allow us and our service providers to process it to deliver the estimate and operate the service as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not use the service unlawfully, abuse access controls, or interfere with other users.

Snaps and Premium

Renewal, cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the store. Cancel in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings before the store's renewal deadline. Deleting PlateWise or requesting account deletion does not cancel a subscription. Store rules govern billing, cancellation, refunds and eligible restoration. Consumable packs and device-only data may not be restored in the same way as a subscription.

For Apple subscriptions, see Apple's cancellation instructions. For Google Play, see Google Play's subscription instructions. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iOS app where applicable.

Local diary and deletion

Your saved diary is stored on your phone, rather than synchronized by PlateWise. Your operating system may include app data in its backups. Keep any records you need before clearing the diary or removing the app. See Account Deletion for service records and local data options.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep PlateWise available, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or accurate AI output. Features may change, and network or provider outages may prevent estimates. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available and we are not liable for indirect losses from use of estimates, outages, or loss of local data. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
